Watseka Police Department has been actively participating in  D.A.R.E. since 1987. Implemented by Chief Michael VanHoveln, Sgt. Russell Kuhlman and Secretary Beverly Foster, the program is designed to educate Unit 9 children about the danger of drugs and other addictive substances.

Since its early beginnings, D.A.R.E. has always taken the anti-drug, anti-violence message to the streets. Now D.A.R.E. has taken this powerful message to the biggest street in the world, the information superhighway.
